Crew Leaders
About the Role
Tobacco Rose Farm Construction LLC is seeking a reliable Crew Leader to perform physical labor on construction project sites while providing leadership and direction to a crew of 1–5 members. The Crew Leader leads by example, maintains high-quality standards and strict safety practices, and interacts professionally with customers and the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to a crew of 1–5 members
- Perform strenuous manual labor including installing silt fence, mowing and trimming, shoveling, street cleaning, digging trenches, and cleaning up rubble and debris
- Operate hand and power tools (picks, shovels, sledge hammers, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and secure job site daily to eliminate hazards
- Hammer stakes, load/unload trucks, and haul/hoist materials
- Ensure all projects meet company quality standards
- Follow safety and incident reporting procedures; report issues to the Owner
- Complete daily paperwork and perform routine vehicle pre-operational inspections
- Solve practical problems and manage by example
- Attend meetings and interact professionally with customers
Qualifications
- Verifiable minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience, preferably in construction
- Experience managing a diverse workforce
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (must pass OMV verification)
- No DUIs
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Must work every scheduled day and arrive on time (not a day-labor position)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly desired
- Strong communication, customer focus, results-driven mindset, stress management, and teamwork skills
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work occurs outdoors on construction sites with exposure to extreme weather, heat, humidity, loud noise, and moving mechanical parts. The role requires lifting heavy objects, prolonged standing and walking, squatting, bending, excellent stamina, and strong manual dexterity under adverse field conditions.
Schedule & Travel
Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (40 hours/week). Occasional long hours and weekend work required. Travel out of town for extended periods (up to eight weeks) is expected

Construction Laborer
About the Role
The Laborer performs physical labor on construction project sites. This position operates hand and power tools, digs trenches, installs silt fence and straw mat, applies seed and straw, lays sod, mows and trims, cleans streets and job sites, removes waste materials, and assists other crew members. The Laborer follows directions, maintains high-quality standards, practices strict safety procedures, and works effectively as part of a team.
Essential Duties

- Operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Maintain a clean job site
- Hammer stakes, load and unload trucks, and haul and hoist materials.
- Follow directions and specific checklists for daily and job-specific work
- Arrive on time and ready for work; clock in and out on time
- Practice proper safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work occurs outdoors on construction sites with exposure to extreme weather, heat, humidity, noise, and moving mechanical parts. The role requires lifting heavy objects, walking and standing for long periods, and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Candidates must have excellent stamina, a strong back, good manual dexterity, multi-limb coordination, and the ability to squat, bend, push, pull, and carry under field conditions.
Qualifications
- No experience necessary
- Must pass a drug test
- Must report to work on time every day (this is not a day-labor position)
- Strong back and physical ability to perform strenuous manual labor
- Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools
- Knowledge of and ability to follow prescribed PPE use
- Basic knowledge of products and services preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly desired
